GLOCK – Pioneer and standard for polymer-framed pistols
GLOCK was founded in 1963 by Gaston Glock in Deutsch-Wagram, Austria, evolving from a producer of metal and polymer parts into a global innovator in semi-automatic polymer pistols. In 1982, the company introduced the G17 with the Safe Action® system – a lightweight, reliable design with fewer components, adopted by the Austrian military and validated in NATO reliability tests.
Manufacturing continues in Austria (Deutsch-Wagram and Ferlach) and, since 1985, in Smyrna, Georgia, USA. All pistols are built to strict quality standards, featuring polymer frames, striker-fired mechanisms, and durable surface treatments such as Tenifer or Melonite.
