CRKT – Columbia River Knife and Tool
CRKT (Columbia River Knife & Tool) was founded in 1994 in Tualatin, Oregon, by Paul Gillespi and Rod Bremer. The breakthrough came in 1997 with the K.I.S.S. folding knife by Ed Halligan, a minimalist, functional design that gained international attention and established CRKT as an innovative knife manufacturer.
The brand is recognized for collaborations with designers such as Ken Onion and Kit Carson and for patented technologies including OutBurst opening, AutoLAWKS, Field Strip, and Deadbolt Lock. The product line includes folding knives, fixed blades, multi-tools, and accessories for outdoor, EDC, survival, tactical applications, and collectors.
